Hi Chris. I think you might need a bit of sun cream for the bonce whereas I may need a bit of dubbin for my boots. I think this area had close ties with the Low Countries through maritime links; packet boats to The Hook, Hamburg and Esjberg running out from Ipswich, Felixstowe and Harwich/Parkestone...

Look out for the companion book Sailing Small Waters by Clifton Reynolds. from that book you can see how the club got a certain reputation. It makes a very funny read.
