salut a la finistere :?::evil:just working on a '70's mirror - in good condition apart from internal tape on taped seams ie around cockpit area - main floor seam ok but others were loose (now removed) - joints behind/under tape still fine and appear strong! - a rather silly novice question(i think!)...

salut had a similar problem some time ago - w g lucas porchester created my sails in '60 and one of sons who works the sail loft recommended diluted bleach and soapy water - did not remove all staining but worked a treat - too timid to try with slightly stronger bleach - think i used a 20 - 25% soln...

salut agree with rupert although i use a moquette covered roller(last one shed some hairs - cheap french diy store product - chandlers sell better quality jobs) with about 15%dilution plus standing paint container in warm water for 30 mins - helps flow charateristic - flattening - of paint - on fina...
