He is keen to see all BOD's on the water and I wasn't sure if you are acquiring one or just have some sails for one! If you are buying a BOD from somewhere other than Brightlingsea could I be s...

Re: SAILS FOR POIROT!!
Try jameslawrencesailmakers.com. They make trad sails for trad boats and jolly nice they are. The problem might be sourcing lighter grades of cloth if you want cotton. They may have some old sails that could be cut to fit. They could use a light cotton colour dacron. Have a look and give them a call.

Do I spy Essex knockers!
Ah well, their loss not ours. There is more to this county than the jokes: I should know I was born in Scunthopre and have gone through life listening to the jokes about that place as well!
I consider myself double blessed.

I thought this might be a Jewel sailed at the Walton and Frinton Yacht Club. I saw this was for a sale a few days ago and forwarded it to a friend at the club. The club members have been buying these back and putting them back on the water. Very commendable. I like the hull drainage system.............

Well blow me down! The ancient Merlin lot are to sail at Cookham Reach SC so I had a gander at their website and in the history section is a pic of their fleet of Snipes 12's and Merlins and amongst them is my old Uffa King. I have sent a note to their Commodore who is going to post a note to see if...
Re: Piracy
Did anyone see the S Times article on the new underwater stealth boat that carries 6 SBS warriors and is released from a sub. They reckon that so long as pirates have no hostages they just blast them out of the water from underneath. I have had word that they will be first deployed at this years Cow...

Re: Sailing In Ambridge
Well shivver me timbers, sailing was mentioned in/on The Archers tonight. But it was yottin' and not CVRDAing on The Am. Perhaps someone will now venture out on the river. Joe in a Tideway or Ed + Georgie in a Mirror or Moike in a Solo? What have script writers in store for us? Dum di dum di dum di ...

Wow, AG what a font of knowledge! Did NS also appear on "Does The Team Think" or perhaps it was "Twenty Questions" ? Long dead panel games.
As for Mr Irving, well an old dinghy with a soggy rotten bottom would be too good for him even with all the lead correctors still in place!
