I'm in Pwllheli, and would be happy to take a look. I'm already sitting on MR 1011, it will be a future project, if I can glue the strakes back together [cascamite has let go ] and I know relatively little about Merlins, but I know my boats.

We used to use epsom salt sprinkled on gelcoat for our custom sailboards. Ide was that it would wear off a bit more slowly than sugar.
