Re: Memory lane...

Michael4, a great nostalgic image. Thank you. The mast step is indeed wrong for a Tideway 12 which is forward thwart stepped (pic of my Tideway attached) Tideway web cmp.jpg The mast step is also wrong for a Twinkle 12, and the forward cockpit shape is wrong. The hull shape seems closer though (pic ...

Re: Wayfarer W3

For those of us 'on the higher plane of trailer appreciation' I thought you might appreciate a picture of the original trailer attachment straps and their fittings! (two pairs on right) :D

Re: Wayfarer W3

Thanks for your advice a.k.a. 'boring practicality' which is much appreciated - a true trailer appreciator! I use a Sovereign (today Welsh Harp) Wayfarer combi road base with two Wayfarer launching trollies, but now have 4 different dinghies ( two on trollies, one in roof, one on old trailer) .........

Re: Wayfarer W3

Looking forward to CVRDA and 2018 once she is up and running. I found a period spinnaker yesterday that seems in good shape, but still no main or genoa. I would have been pleased with finding any period Wayfarer in reasonable shape, but feel very lucky to have found this one. I had no idea of her Pr...

Wayfarer W3

I wanted to share with cvrda members some pictures of a Wayfarer I bought which has turned out to have an interesting history. She was being sold by a gentleman who had bought a house, and with the house he 'inherited' a Wayfarer hanging in the garage roof! He decided to sell her, and from her measu...

Re: 16ft Clinker sailing dinghy

She may be a Poole Dolphin. Here are a few images of them racing at Poole YC. See if you agree? http://www.sailingscenes.co.uk/details.php?gal=&gid=260&sgid=&pid=44281 If so, from memory the club has several and try and keep them with owners sailing in Poole harbour. Might be worth conta...

Re: Twinkle 12

Mike, good evening The Twinkle 12 is just out of Winter maintenance after a busy summer of sailing. Salcombe and the Solent mostly. I'm planning a sail to the Isle of Wight in 2013 if weather and time permit. Unlike the Tideway, there's no dedicated central website for Twinkle owners, and I'm thinki...

Re: Twinkle 12

I have just finished restoring a Twinkle 12 over Christmas and I am looking forward to sailing her. Really beautiful little boats with bags of character.
