Re: National 12 wanted (free if possible)
Paul Are you still looking for a N12? We have one abandoned in our dinghy park which the owner has just given us written permission to dispose of as we see fit. Shame to watch it falling to bits, in it's day it was a lovely boat , and a fast one. Let me know on here if you would still be interested....

Re: Mast ram
No, I was after the sliding ram that works like a muscle box in reverse. There's one on ebay but the auction doesn't end for ages and I was hoping to find one quite quickly.

Mast ram
Might be a long shot, but would be pleased to hear from anyone who has available a mast ram that will fit closed in a 175mm gap
cheers

Re: GP 14 Mast
Nigel, No video unfortunately though we may have some photos of the boat being towed back, apparently gaff rigged. We have been looking on ebay and also have an ad on Apolloduck. Nessa has kindly offerred a spare stick from Huntingdon but it would need a fair bit of "adjustment" to make it...

GP 14 Mast
Following a spectacular mishap to one of our Club training boats a little while back, we find ourselves in need of an aluminium mast for a GP14. The value of the boat does not warrant paying the insurance excess, so we are just looking for a cheap and cheerful stick to get it sailing again. Anybody ...

Re: Hunts 2012 9th June
Nessa,
Looks like a lovely windy day again for your meeting, however it coincides with a long standing promise I made to do the Three Rivers Race on the Broads this year. I hope you have another good turn out and all enjoy yourselves,
All the best,
Steve

Re: IOS Race.
420 for sure, it would be a good little boat for it. I had to help a Wayfarer up the slipway last year that had capsized and been towed back, and was very thankful it wasn't mine!
Re: IOS Race.
I went round in the not so old Albacore, also made the mistake of starting at the outer end of the line, and ploughed a furrow up most of the Swale with the centreboard and rudder. A big bunfight at the bridge with about four large cats, ended up 65th. Always enjoy this race and plan to go again nex...

Re: Hunts Open 17th September
Hope to get three boats over from Nottingham, an OK, a Solo, and my Alb. Enjoyed it very much last year, don't know if we can stay for the evening yet.
Cheers

Re: Cotton sail Challenge at nats
Chris, Your lovely carving has looked good on our mantelpiece since you kindly presented it to me at Clywedog last year, presumably for not swearing too loudly when I found out just how slowly I could make the old Alb go with a stretched set of cotton sails. At the moment I don't think I can get to ...

Re: Nottingham 21/22 May
Kev and Nat Thanks for that, a pleasure to meet you and it's good to know we're doing something right despite the weather. Sorry I missed you to say cheers, I was probably returning the rest of the Trent from the boat back where it belonged. I'm sure we will be holding a similar event next year, whe...

Peter's list is no ordinary one . . . . it is a translation of the CVRDA numbers into our pursuit black box numbers, adjusted so that an Ent races for an hour. Or so I remember. Jolly clever anyway.
Hope the teaching goes well,
Steve

I'll be down between 9.30 and 10 tomorrow to put the kettle on. Any chance you could bring your list of 1965 handicaps again please. Nice breeze forecast, look forward to seeing you again.
Cheers

Re: Nottingham 21/22 May
Kev I hope you will make it to Nottingham, with or without a measurement cert for your GP. You can stay over if you'd like to do both days and we will arrange food and keep the bar open for anyone that wants to do so. I had GP1831 there until I recently sold it to a new member at the insistence of h...
