Yachting World Dayboat

At the farm where I keep my old Finn a great pile of "junk" appeared (including several Seagulls)that belonged to Ken and in it was this Yachting World Dayboat? in what looks like pretty good condition. It comes with rig and so Ken says "new" sails. Contact me a.d.bartram@ex.ac.u...

Re: starcross details please

Dear Everybody, I must give my apologies for not being more active about the Starcross Event. Personal circumstance - marriage seperation and all that entails. But the Exe Regatta 28/29 June is on http://www.river-exe-regatta.org.uk/ see the web site. Two days of good sailing on the Exe Estuary. The...

As Roger knows you would have to have a very low camper van to get under the railway bridge ~5ft 6. You could park outside in the lay-by but its not very salubrious. There is a small amount of space in the club but its very limited + there might be a small marquee taking some of that. See our web si...

Starcross YC cvrda 28/29 June

I've just recieved an email from our Flat Captain saying that the dates I have earmarked for the CVRDA Event at Starcross are the same as the Exe Regatta. At first I thought oh **** - but later realised that this was not such a bad thing. This is an open meeting with lots of publicity and and shore ...

Gary,

What you need is "Aquaseal" its a polyureathane substance that come in tubes at about £5 - quite expensive - but it works. Good for fixing wetsuits and putting grips on my daughters very smooth shoes to stop her slidding down the stairs!

Just bought a 26 ft trimaran...OOps

Just bought a 26 ft Telstar Trimaran - built in 1979 - doea that mean I can use it in CVRDA events!

If I can't it might make a good committee boat

Starcross Event 2008

Greg, I was hoping to get a reply from our man doing the race programme but it has not yet been finalised. I'm hoping that it will be 28/29 June with mid day tides. Its so easy for all you puddle sailors - the water is always there - here somebody pulls the plug out twice a day - its so frustrating....
