Re: Mirror Mirror, on the wall - who is the fairest of them
Ed.......................... yes please, if you have a nice shot of 'adult+children' messing about in the boat - in a nice picturesque environment then that would be great! I was going to PM you anyway on another (partially) related subject - Nevil Shute Norway. I've given the talk that I created o...

Re: Mirror Mirror, on the wall - who is the fairest of them
I have recently had some of my late father's cine film put on DVD.
A few shots on there of the Mirror we built in the garage, 18756, down at Pentewan
whilst we were on holiday. Probably 1969-ish.
The boat only recently expired. Stood three generations of us in good stead.

Re: SiBr bolts
These guys are just down the road from me. http://www.pts-uk.com/ I used to feel a bit sheepish going up to the counter and asking for half a dozen of such and such, when they plainly ship tons of fixings all over the UK. But they are amazingly helpful and get me my stuff and I've never paid more th...

Re: Osprey flying the length of the Thames
I have had a reply from Vernon. Looks like Lechlade is the starting point. "Many thanks for this email - I am very glad to hear some interest has been generated. In answer to your question, Lechlade seems the fair bet. Above, I am told can be variable in the quantity of wet stuff available. My ...

Osprey flying the length of the Thames
Well it should provide some entertainment from the bank anyway.
I should imagine their beer locker will be well stocked.

They are going to be absolutely knackered putting the mast up and down.
Good luck chaps all the same.

Re: Pegasus Spinnaker
Think you'll find that an Osprey Spin will be about the right size. 17.19 sq m The right size for what? Bricking oneself?! Oh come now Rupert. Just bear away and scream and swear a lot. Works for me anyway. The only time I have been caught out was sailing DDW, and whilst cockily standing up whilst ...

Re: How to build a Firefly in just under 4 minutes
Must be quicker with an Osprey Pete, You dont have to cook it. Good point Rog, good point... certainly mine couldn't have taken more than a couple of minutes at most. Good point about Pathe David. I think to download this one onto a storage device is £40. Doesn't say anything about u...

Re: Big Al stars in Y&Y
Good points all really. I'd just remind everyone it's perfectly OK to race an Osprey with 3 people, and indeed, one of the Poole peeps was allowed to race at the 2011 Nationals with two girls as crew, with a double trapeze. All up, 30 stone in the boat Good bit of PR and very accommodating of the Os...
