You can get some very strong, transparent, self adhesive puncture repair patches from good bike shops that will do the job and are very cheap!

The OK doesnt really fill up too drastically after a capsize and drains really easily, I know of a lot worse. Have a look at the OK Dinghy website and ask the question there as well, either way the OK is a delight to sail.

That's great.

The mast I have is an old gold Proctor without spreaders would I need to do anything to the mast if I deck step other than cut it down to size?

The varnish route does appear to be the easiest although I doo keep getting drawn to using epoxy given the strong and hi-build quality as opposed to varnish and the number of coats required to build up to a decent finish. Old screw holes. I have filled some with a mix of microfibres and fine sawdust (saved from hours of rubbing decks) to get decent match are there any other fillers you could recommed with a quicker curing time?
