Re: Classic Phantom wanted
£100 off FaceBook, I'll take a risk on the decks so have bought without seeing, reckon it's worth the risk though. GRP hull - one of only a few GRP hulls built before the 1990s. Is complete and hopefully will be sorted so I can do a couple of CVRDA events next year. Clywedog here we come. Zenith is ...

Re: Classic Phantom wanted
OK, I appear to have bought a Phantom, sight unseen. The only downside is it is in Sevenoaks and doesn't have a trailer.
Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a trailer for sale?

Classic Phantom wanted
OK, Finn sailors please avert your eyes. As the CVRDA is now piloting the inclusion of several new classes by changing the eligibility criteria I'm now in the market for a classic Phantom. I'm doing the usual trawl through Class Association / eBay / Gumtree etc but if you happen to see a for sale po...

A search of this forum will deliver a fair bit as I and others have posted various stuff about the Spearhead.

Re: I'm intrigued...anyone know what it is?
I've had the misfortune to come across a few that I've sweated blood to get back on the water, only to see them raided for spares, left to fill with water or just abandoned. One of the problems of a "cheap" boat is that people think they are disposable after a couple of years.

It's my old Spearhead.
Some pics are still at http://www.pegasus18.com/dinghies/index ... 6/#more-12
Shame to see it in that state. It's a bit of a beast, all kevlar. You need the rotating rig, and it will cost a fortune to replace if all the fittings are stripped.

Re: Any idea..?
I had a quick look last night and thought it was of Percy's. The problem is that he was prolific in his designs, there is a PB Facebook page managed by one of granddaughters that would be worth posting to.

Re: Small, cheap, single handed dinghy.
There was a Harrier on the Dinghy and Dinghy Bits for sale FB group recently - https://www.facebook.com/groups/dinghies/permalink/1058016657571112/?sale_post_id=1058016657571112 although it's now sold it's worth keeping an eye out on FB and eBay. Most of the interesting eBay offerings get spotted an...
