Clearly Garry you have not been watching your prequels.

When not engaging the Hyperdrive it seems the thing to do is settle in for some in flight entertainment while throwing out some kind of Solar wind sail.

The theory is all explained here...

You can also look it up on "Wookie-pedia. " (really!)

I'd not realized we were actually holding the event in space...

My plan for the Intergalactics this year was to get pizzas delivered to the club for one of the evenings - do Dominos deliver to deep space, and would the pizzas still be warm when they got there?

Pizzas a good idea Rupert. At one Lark event we had an Indian takeaway - orders placed at registration - which worked very well.
As for the solar wind, I'll resist comments about Uranus.

I have enough trouble keeping my boat watertight, I think air tight might be impossible!

For once my wetsuit has no holes in it.

I was thinking self supplied BBQ the first night (so stuff that people bring isn't hanging around too long) and Pizza/fish and chips the 2nd, as Whitefriars doesn't have a proper kitchen, annoyingly.

Since retiring 4months ago I have tried to remove all scientific facts from my brain in the hope of freeing up neurones which I may need when old age kicks in. However that flag the Americans planted on the moon didn't wave about a lot.

Roger,

seeing how many times you went round and round (around more than one axis too) at Whitefriars should this not be in your case the 'Whirled' Championships.....

Sponsorship by Cadbury's would give us the chocolate whirls - with a class start for the flakiest, crumbliest boats too - my coat must be in here somewhere as well .....

Unfortunately Cadburys (or should I say the american owners) have closed the local factory at Keynsham. :(

Is it my imagination or does it not taste as good since the takeover?

My Grandad was their chief engineer - and is probably spinning in his grave.

He invented the production process for Crunchie!
