So...If I lend Angies uncle from NZ a boat fro Whitefriars and Rupert lends a boat to Lasertourist and Nessa lends one of her many projects to a long lost cousin from the US we will be well on the way to a "worlds" We could have an international fleet in no time!!!!!

Michael,

Perfect... the 'Lost Worlds' indeed - with the Finn playing the part of the dinosaur. How apt!

I'd be gentle with those Finns David. After recent events I expect they must be feeling a bit "saur."

Skullduggery on the startlines may ensue!

What do you mean Skullduggery. No just reinforcing your right of way with a three quarters of an inch thick hull. Even FF's have been known to back off.
Cheers Al
The Sharks even more fun and before my owner ship had sunk 2 FF,s at Loch Tummel I'm lead to believe.

Sdlrow meeting?

S ailing
D dinghy
L longitudinal (as in time, not place)
R racing
O open
W orlds

hmph - maybe not. Too contrived!

Lets just have Open meetings open to all with a boat that qualifies (and from anywhere.....).

After a long time sorting out my internet connection I can comment on this I think. Surely anyone who is an afficionado of scraping varnish, re-glueing planks, re-decking, using old cotton sails ie the typical CVRDA member is from another planet, so "Worlds" is hardly likely to apply to any event we organise.

Of course, as it would give us a chance to use the line from the song. I am struggling slightly with the visualization - if they are the starboard bow, am I on port?

It doesn't matter because "In space, no-one can hear you scream...." (or hail starboard for that matter.)
