Bloody Mary

Post by roger »

Toying with the idea of going to the BM as a spectator. I know Nessa is sailing. Anyone else going?

Thank you for the offer, but I'll be on a tight timetable getting home, as Kathryn has flu...

Hoping the forecast is an exaggeration...

As for ending up in Oxfordshire, I think Davy Jones' locker is more likely!

Rupert,

Oh merde to the max, I'll miss it, am not going to be able to make it to QMSC now! Instead I'll be heading in the other direction, Salisbury then North West (how far do I go before I fall off the edge of the world)

Whilst the Lightning might well be a handful in the expected conditions, just think as the big blatting gust comes up behind you, that you have but the one sail - or in other words, sod being in something with a masthead kite that you have to get down before running out of sea room!

Could be great spectator sport tomorrow and I'll miss it...

The mast being pretty much on the bow makes things interesting in the gusts...

Before you leave for QMSc Roger can you put all your sailing stuff in a nice pile so we don't have to go looking for it. Al can have one hornet, I'll have t'other, we'll find a home for the GP... just need a new Commodore for the cvrda as the last one was seen heading for the wall at QM in a cloud of spray....

Have you been stitched up - like a mailsack!

Tomorrow morning at Queen Mary sailing club. Near Heathrow. Loads of boats from Topper to Foiling moths and everything in beteeen. Toppers start first and the rest in minute intervals according to their handicap. I was going to watch and catch up with friends but have foolishly agreed to stand in for Nessa who is injured.
Start is at 12.00 Be good to see you if you come to watch.(or sail)
