After capsizing the Finn today (OK but it was a 25mph gust at the gybe mark ...boom hit the water before I got up on the new windward rail) I found that my dry suit isn't any more. There are no holes etc. just a general kind of dampness getting in over most of the drysuit. Its a Crewsaver Hyper-dry (breathable tri-laminated job). .
Has anyone here revived one of these with wash in stuff like nikwax...?

Re: Dry Suit Revival
Unless you can trace it down to a duff seal/zip my advice would be to contact Crewsaver and see what they recommend.
Best wishes

They don't last for ever.....and if the material is 'going' then I don't think you are going to be able to do much.

Re: Dry Suit Revival
I have the same dry suit, mine has started to leak a little around stiched areas (knee area) after 3 seasons. Not sure there is anything that could be done?
Re: Dry Suit Revival
Might be worth trying Fabsil as used for tents and covers. Just spray it on with one of those cheap plant sprayers. There's also seam sealers available for the stitched bits. Camping shops should have both.
Re: Dry Suit Revival
Never mind the drysuit, does this mean your Finn is back on the water and able to support the Classic Nationals in June at Falmouth?

Re: Dry Suit Revival
Well - my screws+epoxy fillet repair of the mast foot gate seems to be holding out - at least in 25mph gusts on flat water. And thats about as hard as I could sail her anyhow.
Problem with June - is that school is not out.... its very hard to get away in term time.
