Flying 30

Post by alan williams »

Just thought that I would mention that the last flying thirty has been restored at Mashfords Yard Cremyl on the Tamar. It will be on display at Mount Edgecombe for the next week according to the local paper (Herald),.
Mount Edgecoombe Estate can be reached easily by taking the foot ferry from Durnford St. Stonehouse, Plymouth.

Is that one of Andrew Thornhill's boats?

I know that he has a couple of the bigger 'flying' boats.

I think I remember he had a Flying 40 outside Underfall yard on Bristol harbour a while ago...

But I am sure that he has an interest at Mashfords.

He has been sailing on Vigilant - Uffa's 22m on Plymouth Sound recently for the Port of Plymouth, but I didn't see him on the water, although did see another 22.

cheers

Hi Ed
Eyemouth is mentioned so I assume it is one of his boats.
