So, as I understand it my Finn isn't eligible because it's not a 'former Olympic class'?

Seems so. Eligible is Europe, O-Jolle, Flying Dutchman, Tempest, Soling, Dragon and 5.5 Metre. I could not find on the website how they selected those and not others.

The operative word appears to be "former" here, not "still current". No mention of Yngling, Firefly etc. though.
