Rupert,
As the resident boat tart I think I have to try the mini sail, also the puffin, and I dont think I have ever helmed a firefly. David is obviously scared I will break the 5o so I may have to forego the woody and try a more modern one.
In the long distant days of Fastsail a group of us got together to try each others boats. We had two Fds out and my old planker 140 and I think an Osprey... ooh thats another one I would like to try. A good days sail on the solent followed by the usual pub meal and a few to many drinks.
Just a thought Rupert maybe we should invade the FOM with old wooden boats

Especially if we could all conspire to ensure the woodies stay ahead of a certain Bike and Windsurf retailer!roger wrote:Rupert,

And don't forget, designer and boat builder to boot...

Charlie and I were thinking of taking the Firefly next time if the event doesn't clash with anything else, but to be fair it doesn't really matter what you turn up with - I didn't hear a bad word about any of the boats.
