This made me look for a dinghy event "Round the Nab Tower"
I am sure this used to be the route for the "Cock of the Harbour event.

I have in the past raced around the Nab tower from Hayling Island, and by an extraordinary fluke won the Firefly class "Onward trophy" in Fed week way back in 1974. Happy days and warm sea breezes.
Unfortunately there doesnt seem to be an "official" regular dinghy race round the NabTower, and the only "there and back race" from Chichester appears to be a Keel boat event involving sponsored boats and fund raising for the local hospice... I suspect for dinghies its only possible on a spur of the moment with good, stable weather conditions as it is a bit "open water." (6 miles out to sea no less)
