Nessa,

Yes, that is the plan, for you to have a go on my AC, and I have recently upgraded!

New (to me) boat - sail number: 298. Christmas, feels like it has come early!

Sami,

The Nimrod look great for day sailing (and the odd overnight trip), I wish you all the best with her....

And, here is my bucket list...

For older boats:
1. A moth with wings (not foils, but B14 style type stuff)
2. A scow moth
3. A '97 rules cherub (or before, just love the look of these)
4. An Uffa Fox boat - like a Jollyboat (always liked the idea of one of these, although, I have never actually seen one! Don't know about sailing one, but I would love to see, say, a flying 10 or an Uffa canoe).
5. A Marauder
6. A National 18
7. Yachting World Scow (I always liked the idea of this!)
8. The legendary Tiger Moth

And for newer boats:
1. A DC
2. A Devoti One
3. A B14

Of course, there are (most likely) lots of other weird and wonderful boats out there, I have yet to hear of, or have forgotten about, which might one day make it onto my list...

On a side note - what colour do you think I should paint the sliding seat and carriage? (I don't think pink on blue goes very well....) just looking for suggestions, one thought I had was a nice yellow (like the name).

And if anybody else is looking for a go on an AC, let me know, and I will try to organise something....

Cheers,

Max

Hi Ed,

Thanks, I am certainly very lucky to now be in possession is Time Warp! As you may know, 249 (Aquadizzyact) had a hole in the daggerboard box, and in Loch Lomond, all the sailing, did for the box, and as a result, she required a lot of work. So I contacted Rob Bell, asking for a quote for the repair, and to so this, he would replace the wood with carbon, so it wouldn't rot. As I was a little worried to do the repair myself, especially as I have never worked with carbon, and with something this structural, I thought it best to leave it to someone more experienced than I.

A few months later, Rob Bell suggested I part exchange Aquadizzyact for Time Warp, so I would have a sound boat, which required no work, and on a competitive platform.

So I really have been very lucky indeed!

I just need to get everything sorted, so my stuff will suit Time Warp, and she is good to go!

Cheers,

Max

I too have had a go in most of the things I would like to have a go in at some point, so the list is short-

Flying Dutchman
AC
Relatively new Cherub (preferably Pasta Frenzy or Cheese Before Bedtime)
18' Skiff

Not very imaginitive, I know... Could maybe add something like an RS700 or Musto Skiff, but they're not high on the list of priorities. And have always been curious as to what an MXray is like, come to think of it.

Max, and Ed, pending winter refit, either or both of you are welcome to come and have a go in Tiger Moth next season.

Max, could I swap you for a sail in Tiger Moth?

As I'm mostly keelboating at the moment I'd really like a go in a Star, as I'd like to work out how you gybe them with all the runners and without loosing the mast over the front.

secondly I'm looking for an old Division II Longboard to use as they look woderfull and there were some cold moulded wood ones made.

Thirdly a ride in a 12sqm Sharpie, they look great and eversince seeing them in Norfolk years ago I've wanted a ride.

Lastly I'd like a go in a 2.4m they look like real fun in a blow.

Simon,

That is very kind of you, and something I would love to do, it is a just a matter of when it would be possible...and a swap for a sail is a very good idea.

I also know the crew who sailed Cheese Before Bedtime, at the Cherub nationals, so I can ask about you possibly getting a sail? Although, I have also seen that Cheese Before Bedtime is for sale, as the moment, so I don't know if it would actually be possible at the moment...

Anyway, I look forward to possibly sailing Tiger Moth at some point!

Cheers,

Interesting... Is she advertised anywhere? I had a look on the class association site but couldn't see her.
