Just recieved this email. Pretty sure I know what it is but dont want to make a fool of myself (well no more than normal)
Dear Roger,
I wonder if you can help, We have just bought an old racing dinghy it seems. I have no idea what class it is other than the fact that vthe Insignia is of a 'C' with what looks like a wing or feather from the top left of the C.
Please advise if you have any information.
Many thanks in advance.
Alan

Re: Boat recognition
Roger,
Penny to a pound of plums that the sail is from a Seafly!
Details on this boat are easily found, however the most simple method of identification (just in case the hull and rig do not match - it happens) is to look at the line of the chine. From just abaft the mast, this sweeps upwards in an almost exaggerated line.
Hope this helps

Re: Boat recognition
Okay.............
the Meteor Scow is now 'documented' - although given the lack of detail, that might be stretching things a little.
But again, this is exactly the sort of information that we DO need - this could so easily have slipped through the net!
