Re: dinghy indentification
Could be either how long is it? I think you'll find it's Wyche & Coppock!
If its a National 12 it was built about 1960/1 if a Merlin Rocket around 1966. However merlin Rocket 1991 was built by Rowsell Brothers to the Expectant design so more likey depending on length a National 12.

Simples.
Re: dinghy indentification
In simple terms a National 12 is 12 foot from front to back and a Merlin Rocket is 14 foot. Just don't use an Ebay tape measure as they are soooo elastic
Re: dinghy indentification
N12 1991 isn't in the N12 database, annoyingly...but W&C were building them, along with many others, in that era.

Alternatively, if you have the mainsail (the bigger sail) and it has an N on it, it's a National 12 or if it's got a black triangle / witches hat shape, it's a Merlin........
Re: dinghy indentification
Thank you gentlemen for the information the sails weren't on the boat so couldn't use the main to identify I might investigate further

I can't see any photo's. Could it be a Graduate or Super Grad made by Wyche and Coppock
Re: dinghy indentification
No record on the Graduate database for number 1991. If it is a Grad she would have been built 1967 or '68Steve Bockett wrote:I can't see any photo's. Could it be a Graduate or Super Grad made by Wyche and Coppock
