Bought her at the weekend and now delivered to Bosham.
Delighted
She was apparently owned by the proprietor of a pleasure boat business in or near Fowey. She was bought by a Mr Mason (a retired shipwright) in 1995 and brought to Wivenhoe where she has been based since. He (beautifully) completely rebuilt her in classic form and gave her a new name: 'Jolly Fox'.
SN 83 (though no obviously engraved anywhere). Was known as 'Just in Time' and built c1954. Anybody know anything of her early life?

Have now managed to get back a bit further:
Owned by Ian Owers in Fowey from circa 1990 to 1995. Initially in poor repair. Named by him 'Wild Thing'. As a result of a chance encounter with a visitor at a local regatta he believes she may have come to Fowey from the Helford River area. Some uncertainty as to the sail number as apparently the number found stamped in the hull is 38 or 83 depending which way up you looked at it!
She has what appears to be an original spruce mast with diamonds and spreaders, a bronze mast jack and a hefty galvanized plate.
Anyone out there know anything more?
