yes I know - but then, many things were being tried out...
The most successful developments of 1954 were that of Uffa Fox and lan Proctor who both independently designed canoes with a chine stem, first adopted by Linton Hope for the 1914 design Tritonelle but subsequently prohibited.
(International Canoe History / Evolution pages. And I'm sure I have heard of a canoe called Jupiter.

I thought I identified that as the Planet, using information from an old YW.

I distinctly remember cries of anguish from those who were out-spodded.

Maybe.....even quite likely....

just found the images and couldn't remember the outcome - so threw it out again :-)

Looks a bit better now it has been re-built!!
