Boat identification please

Hi
Have just bought an old grp dinghy but have no idea what class she is.
Hopefully above link works and she is 14 feet long with 5 foot beam.
Gunter rigged with F14 and number 266 on the red main with a small jib.
The hull almost feels like it was taken from a wooden dinghy as you can just feel where the planking lines would be.
Any help from fellow members greatly appreciated and not sure why I never found this forum years ago as very interesting.

Looks suspiciously like a Flying Somethingorother.

Bet you will have a lot of fun sailing her but probably not a classic.

Anything that has sails and floats is a cracking idea.

Enjoy

Above is the only other picture currently on my iPad but can get some more tomorrow if it would help as very keen to identify.
Have not put her in the water yet since purchase as so many other things to do but very curious as to how she sails and rows compared to my Devon yawl.
There were toe straps fitted which I have taken out and the plate is wooden with a strange hinged handle?
Thanks for your interest and I must admit to never hearing of that class!

Sorry about the wrong picture- having a bit of trouble with photo bucket- getting too old for this sort of thing!

I'm stumped on this one. The Small Craft plaque might jog someone's memory.

Stumped.

There is an almost identical boat in our dinghy park, nobody here knows what it is either!

Apologies for resurrecting this old thread but I too have a dinghy which looks virtually identical (although not quite so good condition) to this dinghy. I got it free when I bought a launching trolley on ebay from a Sea Scout group in Kent.

I was wondering if anyone had any more ideas about identifying it?

I note on your photos Gareth it looks like the company on the bottom manufacturers plate looks like Brockley Limited - I wondered if it might have been manufactured by RS Sailing which is the trading name for H.Taylor & Son (Brockely) Ltd.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm going to try to tackle the restoration this summer.

Regards
Joe
