Sorry I do not have a pic, but there was a very nice black and white, and a good write-up on the Zenith, in the 1961 or 62 Dinghy Year Book. I'm sure you could find a copy locally.

For reasons I cannot easily explain this scan is on my desktop. Of no use but takes one back to a different age.

Hello

I've put a few photos of Z43 (not one of mine but based at my club) in a dropbox folder for you along with a few scans of other Zenith info which might be of use if you are doing proctor research - here's the link:

Unfortunately both mine are awaiting TLC (distracted by finns!) so not able to use them in the Bosham event.

Hope these help

EDITED TO CORRECT LINK!

Hi Keith,

Not sure what I am doing wrong but the link takes me to a folder titled 'caravan'.

Do you know of any other Zeniths still sailing who might like to grace the waters of Chichester harbour. To me, the Zenith is an interesting concept - very close in many ways to the Merlin Rockets of the day - PY being 91 v 92!

Sorry David - my fault - was doing two things at once, the other thing was trying to sell a caravan! I've now corrected the link in the post above.

I can mention the event to the owner of the Zenith in the pics - I'm not aware of them travelling to events before but who knows.

Yes there is a definite MR/Zenith link, I believe Proctor was aiming to create a one-design alternative to the MR and was intending that they should be the same speed... not sure if the trapeze (not very MR) was part of the original concept or quickly added later.
Keith.
