Firefly centreboard casing

Post by highburyal »

I have almost completed building a new board case for F2451. Before I fix the two halves together I need to treat the wood on the inside as it will be unaccessible once the case is glued together. Should I use paint/varnish/epoxy?

Melamine laminate! "Formica" or "Wilsonart" or "Nevamar" are the three names I have bought it under probably lots more for a really super dooper job use 1/16" PTFE Sheet it sticks well enough with epoxy.
Simples.
