Hint of Ronseal?

Post by Stephen Hawkins »

No idea what it is, but it is apparently 16 ft long.

However I am suspicious about the colour.....

If that is 16 feet long, it must be more than 5 feet wide.

At a guess I'd say it was 12 feet long...

If it is a later National 12, then that is an interesting looking centre plate. If it is steel, it is shaped nothing like what mine is.

How tastes change.

The more I think about it, the more I think I have seen this hull before......On ebay?

Certainly it looks like a N with an ali plate to me....

however, the stem does not look quite as vertical as I might expect.....but I think that must just be a trick of the camera-angle.

Just saw the thread-title.....how very apt....it does look like it doesn't it.

A prime example of why I don't like staining varnishes.

I have trouble matching the old style plate with a slot to what looks like an early 60s boat too... Depends on how much has been modded over the years I guess...

Looks rather like a N12 Squid design to me http://www.national12.org/class/Squid.htm.
