Back at the start of the CVRDA one of the names mentioned was Nackered Old Boats Society. As we all know CVRDA was decided to be better. NOBs has now been taken by the National Organisation of Beaters. Anybody interested the WEB site is http://www.nobs.org.uk

I think ours would have had a K at the beginning!
As a member of ARSE (Aberystwyth Retired Sailors Executive, it is probebly just as well from my point of view that CVRDA was decided on...

Back when the Olympic Committee were looking for a new single-hander, and the Contender was a contender, one of the designs submitted was for a class to be called the Single Handed International Type, and the designer wanted the initials on the sail. Rumour has it this was approved at the first meeting, and only later someone rumbled.

I seem to recall that to sail this boat one had to have Special High Intensity Training.
