Mast

Hi all, I have acquired an Enterprise Mast, it is the same diameter as Aquabat, will it be rigid enough to be an unstayed mast ?

Can't be sure.....but my immediate thought is: 'no way'.

they are just very different animals, stayed masts are totally supported by the stays and una masts are a very different beast indeed.

But do some measurements and see how much bend you get.

Not with an Ent sail on it. With a smaller sail, maybe.

Hi Rupert, the mast would be used for the Aquabat, with the original yellow sail.

Doesn't it have a track on it?

This Enterprise mast is circular with a removable track, their are several Enterprises at club, this is the only one with this type of mast, the rest have the teardrop shaped mast with built in track. I was hoping to use this mast at club, at the moment I roll Sail round mast and store indoors, so having a one piece is not a problem ( the reason for use, is I am still using the mast I bent ).
