Hello!

Post by Colin D Smith » Wed Jul 29, 2015 5:15 pm

Sorry if I have put this in the wrong place , but I could not find the Hello I'm a newbie part.

I just wanted to say hello!
I have been doing a modest restoration on my 1963 Fairey Falcon. With any luck I hope to have her ready to sail by the end of the year.
Kind regards
Colin

Hi Colin,

We all look forwards to hearing how it goes and seeing some photos.

Good luck

Hi
I have had the boat for around one year! Gosh funny where the time go's! it must be my age. This site seems just what I've been looking for. I've done some sailing years ago when I lived near Fortwilliam and more recently around Falmouth.
This is my 1st boat and I have been slowly striping, repairing and painting eversince I've brought her home.

This is a pic of the old girl, just got her down the drive.. I have been told that the mast is off a Fire Fly.

Would of thought a Firefly mast would be a little small....

but in general all the Fairey boats (and Fox designs) seem to have basically the same rig in a range of different sizes. Well I guess you could say that about all dinghy rigs, but the ratios all remain the same and are largely swappable.
