Does anyone read the "events" string?
Quite early on in the rather steep learning curve of trying to get to grips with the sliding seat on the canoe, I found myself sailing from bank to bank at Roadford and therfore only occasionally risking a tack. Considering this a potential problem, I came to the conclusion that I would take the IC down to Baltic Wharf, where I have found that a 20ft high stone wall does wonders for your concentration and quickly persaudes you to keep tacking. Of corse the day I chose it was rather windy....and I not only got to practice my tacking but also my capsize drill.
Sailing plankers on the docks is certainly possible....but you will certainly get a sorer bum than normal as you will need to be pretty atheltic going in and out.
Like to see it though!
I will email guys at Baltic Wharf and see if there is any enthuisiasm.
cheers
