Fool?
I would say not necessarily, but the term "investement" indicates that you intend at some poiunt to sell it for more than you paid for it, to pretend you could do that with a boat would be silly. So many examples if "investments" that were not but the term was an excuse for buying. in my case Engagement Rings (So many!) Houses (they were all good housekeepers!) come immediatley to mind, lousy accountant I may be but boats are a COST not an ASSET very agreeable but a COST! Holes in the water into which you pour money and time.

One of the symptom of the crunch seems to be that trailer sailers' prices have gone through the floor. I watched a nice looking 21footer and good trailer go for less than £500 this week.
