These were before I found a pink jib (ex Pico) for £5 on ebay... :D

David H - feel free to use these images when you write up the No. 1 in your top 10 dinghies next month in DSM.

What works so well in these pictures is the matching sail symbol and crew! 8) 8)

Hi Micheal,

I trust you are referring to the insignia looking like a pair of sunglasses rather than there being a fat B on the sail and another fat B****** in the boat

I think it looks like a fabulous little boat! I can't for the life of me think how you tack it with a jib attached, but hey, we all like a challenge!

Where is that very familiar looking bridge, by the way, and the also familiar looking mud?

That be the Avonmouth bridge! I used to live in Pill, just opposite Shirehampton SC, and I confess I went to Bristol Avon to go sailing. I never was a big fan of mud!

Hi all,

Correct. The M5 bridge at Avonmouth.

13ft LOA. The jib is pretty small so it (usually) just blows through.

She should be fabulous. I paid £30 for her :D . Maybe not for the purist but when I sail her I always have a smile on my face.

Have a go at the next event. It may spark a revival  .

I thought I recognised it! Until very recently I was a zummerzet lass and that bridge was my crossing back to sanity. I worked in Brisstle for a while too, but I'm afraid I did my sailing at the somewhat snotty Chew Valley Lake SC.

The unsalubrious bits of Wiltshire, as well as Swindon, were Melksham and Trowbridge, The only good thing about living in these two was their proximity to Shearwater!
