Yes, it was an interesting session with the RYA. A case of left hand and right hand I fear, but after a fair amount of work, a lot of red pen from myself and Jamie Campbell and a very large poke with a sharp stick I hope that we have managed to drag it back on track. It is now the 14 rather than the history of all dinghies and we will have to see how it is actually set up and run.

David is right , there are people in the RYA who care very deeply about the sport, but the RYA as whole is trapped in the success circle. Most of the money they get is specifically given for Olympic sailing and cannot be used for anything else even if they wanted too. However, it also means that other money arrives for other projects and I believe they have a large amount which will hopefully be spent on supporting the grass roots.

I will be there all weekend, so it sounds like Saturday under the Organ at 1 :D :D
