So did I. the wind was out of the north west at 9mph and the temperature was 64 degrees F . Partly cloudy.
But then you probably did not want to know that.

It's been OK the last couple of days. Maybe 12-15 knots, sea breeze. The problem is the sun......it's too hot if you're wearing more than a T short, and too burny when just sailing in boardshorts.

Life is hard.:D

Did 3 races yesterday and maybe another couple today a little later. Came 1st in one, mid fleet in the 3rd and last in the 2nd. Wind outside was a bit fickle, the only wind concerning me thugh was from the pickle onions:x. Virtual skipper on the PC is very good on those cold winters days when sailing your desk is the only sensible option available!:D
The only canoe sailor in MY village too !

No wind at Frensham Pond S.C. yesterday, where I'm sailing the Supernova over the winter. In Portsmouth today there's been a good f4 and lots of sunshine but ooooh sooo cccold even on the beach.Thought the windward hull of the 15 would be pretty uncomfortable with the wind chill factored in.Sea temp 7c
You will all be delighted to know that the OK is tucked up in the lock up, sure not to put on any weight at all over these dark months- unlike the driver.
Happy New Year and role on summer!

.........but there was a race at Frensham on the 26th. Just for interest. In very little wind a 2.4mR keelboat won the pursuit race from a Finn (not mine). Various Lasers, Larks, RS200's and other assorted rubbish in the middle. Just shows - who would think the yardsticks of a 2.4mR and a Finn could produce a close finish.

All the best

Mind you folks, the wind was painfully light and the Finn in question was state of the art sailed by the British National Champion.Make what you will of that.
Wo'nt be up this Saturday, Nick. I'm going up to Mum & Dad's for the New Year.Have a good weekend.

Had a good sail Tuesday. Snow came down the river like a fog bank!
