I have to admit, that I had forgotten that the plans to build a classic dinghy database, as I was recently discussing with David H actually seem to predate the first Roadford CVRDA Rally.

Thinking about it....that makes sense, I think we might of even been talking about this idea in the classic regattas that lead up to the Uffa Fox Centenary regatta.

Then when we got there, we realised that although there had been some form of classic regatta every year for the previous 5 or so...there was nothing planned for the following year and so I said I would put on a classic rally the next year at Roadford, which I did and this lead directly to the formation of the CVRDA from those who came to the first event.
