The Mirror belongs to Gill who was crewing, her husband Roger was helm, he did not duck when a volunteer was needed for Bosun, so he now repairs club and RYA boats more than he sails.
The Laser was sailed by 2012-2013 handicap champion (Comet normally) he was a bit miffed when he threw his Laser round number 3 buoy to overtake and the Mirror out paced him.
The weather was a nightmare boats down all over, 2 Lasers stuck in bank, safety boat dashing all over the place.

In the short clip we had, the Mirror was being sailed better than the Laser, but on a gusty day a more easily handled boat often is. The Mirror was gaining ground on each manouver, so stayed ahead down the reach. Going upwind, the Laser was starting to point higher and go faster just as the Video ended, just as I'd expect.

Nice to see film of nice boats just sailing, rather than the usual youtube fayre of go-pros fixed to tillers for a spray-fest.
