Bright yellow Enterprise

Post by SingTheNightSong »

does anybody have records from 2000/2001 at Roadford Lake - and is there a mention of a Steve Cooksey sailing Enterprise E110 (Bright Yellow)??
i bought the Boat in April - only just succeeded in collecting it from its 12yr "stowage" in the roof of Steve's garage and bringing it back to Bradwell last week : it will probably be back in the water for next weekend - it's in that good a condition (the Main has a "Jack Holt" label - i was not aware that he did sails as well??) - pictures will follow

Classification of food additives/colorants gives E110 as "Sunset Yellow" or "Orange Yellow" if that helps. Presumably this would have been the boat's name?

Before my time, I guess Rupert, Ed, or Neil would be the ones in the know.

Vaguely remember a yellow ent, will looko through our records but I don't think we have those details from then.
Yes Holt Ltd made sails. the story goes that he bought a job lot of sail cloth which turned out to be not the colour he was expecting, yes it was blue cloth thus the colour of Ent sails ever since.

I love the Ent sail colour, but I do know a lot of people who hate it with a passion!

yes Michael - you were absolutely right - "Sunset Yellow" - has a few minor niggling issues so its not back in the water yet

Enterprise 110 was 29th at the 2001 Roadford Nationals and was named Sunset Yellow.

Hope to see it again at an event!
