Topper bailers

Post by ent228 »

I have landed the job of replacing broken Topper bailers at our club. I will soon be on the fourth this season. £45 each.....

They are easy to break so I'm thinking of either blanking them off or fitting stainless ones. I know this will take the boats out of class but that's not important to us.

Anyone got any comments or ideas?

A strip of duct tape works to blank off a broken one temporarily!

Usual practice at most inland clubs/sailing schools is to fit a blank plate. they don't get that much water on board unless theres a big chop.

Yes, I look after 8 club toppers. Best done with either a plate in the cockpit or we stick a Perspex rectangle in the gap.
