Final Fling this w/end
Final Fling this w/end
If the weather holds.....
Stu, Dave Lee and I are thinking about going down to Plymouth Sound for the Final Fling in ICs
Start on Saturday at 13.00hrs - 3 races and 3 on Sunday.
I know it used to always be held outside barrier, but unlikely these days.
If anyone is looking for a good sail and a bit of a laugh have a think about it.
Any of you Roadford guys be able to make it?
Give me a call if you want any more info.
cheers

May try and make it......if I can get hold of a cheap tow bar.
but the idea of towing up in the Landie ain't much fun...but you never know.
Oxford is normally a fun IC event as long as you make a miss on the traditional Sat eve curry.
I wonder how many boats will go as some boats will I think already be (or shortly be) loaded up for worlds.
cheers

Not heard that the Worlds boats will miss Oxford. My boat is 50/50 for it as I am currently having to do a completely unplanned complete restoration, which is not what I expected to do with a boat only 15 years old... She's having to have far more work done on her than any Cherub of mine has ever needed!Ed wrote:I wonder how many boats will go as some boats will I think already be (or shortly be) loaded up for worlds.
Stand corrected.
Couldn't remember when boats were being packed, but remembered some talk on IC forum about the change of dates of the 'inlands' from Oxford due to it being too close to packing....but it was all off top of head and bound to be wrong.
cheers

Gahh - K78 is not going to be ready in time. She is now down to bear wood and gel coat, which took a lot of effort! I woder how many pounds lighter now? Wich I had weighed her first, it might have been interesting.
Next dry day SP systems base coat going on then we will be on the home run. Phew!

Final Final Fling!!@Starcross
Could I interest anybody in our RNLI Pursuit Race on the 21 October start @ 13.00 - entance fee a mighty £1.00 - to go to the RNLI.
What is all this Final Fling! - come and sail all year at Starcross or join for the winter as a Winter member. Very reasonable fees - something like £30- for both autumn and frostbite series.

Finn 563 and 373
