Netley Event Details
Re: Netley Event Details
I'd think that in open water and a breeze it will be a fast boat benifit, and those of us slogging along at the back will be looking more to our results compared to other "slow" boats. Thsi is how it should be, I guess, as we certainly go better at Shearwater in the little'uns.

Agreed Strang is V good and his boat is up together so he should be expected to be near the front if not at the front.davidh wrote:As it is, a very good - but 25 years old Hornet is coming, sailed by Strangler, who is a damn good yachter. He should be able to get okay results BUT - should not be penalised just because he might be a front runner.

Ur.....don't want to kidnap this thread too much....

Any other CVRDA-bods doing it this year?
Am thinking about it, as am on holiday that week and camping up that part of the world.

Doesn't stop him being a big girl though. And his FD crew's even worse.alan williams wrote:Hi Guys About Jon Williams THE STRANGLER remember he's an ex Hornet Champ a twice winner of the FD Nats a pretty quick boat driver. See you Friday.

I hear Stu has already arrived. Now I'm jealous - Sandy's still shaping the support for the new thwart. No sign of glues or varnish yet and he's working tomorrow.....
If I can't tack it's because I'm stuck to the new varnish
