The Best tea of the year!! 4th and 5th October
The Best tea of the year!! 4th and 5th October
That got your attention.
Now we have had a jolly nice sail at Corus with sunshine and some windshifts its time for hospitality and more windshifts at SHEARWATER. Full details to follow but along the lines of 11.00-11.30 first (Practice)race. Food. Two more races with more food and beer from our local micro brewery.
Sunday 2 or 3 races and the best tea of the year including Angies cake.
So basically lots of food and some sailing.
An idea of numbers would be useful

We're in of course - more duct tape - and I'll do a cake or pud as needed.

I'll be seeing you all there - have been promised a boat from Mr Barlow - but rather worried it may be a cotton sailed Topper!!
Re: The Best tea of the year!! 4th and 5th October
How did you quess, Garry?
Greg, or anyone else, there will be a spare space in the merlin with Garry. If a visitor fancies a ride let me know before I ask around within the club.

Hooray! I'm cleared to come for the weekend. Now, do I bring Saskia, or go and buy myself an OK to learn to sail while I'm thee? Stu and Alan, are you taking your OKs?
Rupert

Keith - we'll find you a parking space as we're about 10 mins (max) from lake.

Re: The Best tea of the year!! 4th and 5th October
Ah - that explains the accustomed late arrivals of What a Lark removals. They generally are lying in bed , hear the warning gun and decide to get down to the club - hadn't realised you guys were in earshot!!
Re: The Best tea of the year!! 4th and 5th October
If its not to windy i may be looking for someone to ride the plank on Shoestring. It may only be for a couple of races.

Re: The Best tea of the year!! 4th and 5th October
I should add that this is THE event for Cotton sails!!!
Last we ran the Cotton Sail Challenge on the sunday's three races. This will be repeated again but we are thinking of extending it to include pre 1965 boats that are sailing in completely (well 99.9%) original/old condition. So nothing updated - including sails - and you can be eligable for an extra trophy.
PS I can lend a pair of cotton sails to a suitable merlin and can probably borrow a set for a firefly, let me know
