The way I do it is to list the marks in the order, starting with the one the leader finished at. Finishers at the first finish get allocated 1,2,3 etc. Finishers at the next mark back along the course are 101, 102 etc, third mark 202, 202 and so on. Anyone who was lapped has 1000 added. That way I don't have to wait until all the result sheets have got to me before I start the data entry.
