Who is coming to Hunts?

Post by Nessa »

As I understand so far:

Roger with a classic Hornet
Chris and Lois - Merlin?
Pat and Sandy - Merlin
Steve with an Albacore

The home side is fielding a classic Graduate, a classic Fireball, possibly a Harrier

the Bonito is up for grabs.

Any more takers? I just want to get an idea for the galley.

If David H can get the Smokers fixed, we will be there, failing that, the Bonito looks interesting!!

Maybe, we could actually be able to finish a race!!! Althought I am sure I can find something else to pull off the boat!!

Nessa, Angie is also coming but as a spectator.

Several people have talked about an evening meal is there a local pub or similar we can book a table at?

I know Chris and Lois and Angie and myself will be looking to eat out on Saturday.

Also will the club be open on Friday pm to drop the boat off/

Anyone who needs Friday access should pm me to let me know approximate arrival and I can let you in.

Let me know how many want to eat out on saturday and i can book somewhere. The Dolphin in St Ives comes highly recommended.

Having failed to get a satisfacory bid for Unit on Ebay, I'm furiuosly trying to finish the odds and sods found in my first and only sail last autumn.

There is every chance that Unit 7 will rock up at Hunts to creep round. I don't think things falling off will be a problem (cf David H's other boat) but I think she will have to sail with the rebadged U7 ex Contender sail.

There is still one design decision to be completed Tiller to Rudderhead joint, but all else is varnish (not enough) and a bit of araldite.

At the moment I can't be sure about a meal...and if it is to be a curry def.no.

I expect that several merlins will turn up too as this is a vintage merlin series as well, Iknow of at least two more but it could be 4-6 visiting merlins, Mike Liggett may know more.

I collect my jib on thursday after being repaired after Roadford - hope it's ready as I only have a choice of some seriously passedtheirsellbydate ones.

DavidH will not be at Hunts, so I am suddenly helmless. Nessa has kindly offered the Bonito, but if any body needs a crew, that would be another option....
