CVRDA nats Clywedog August

Post by Obscured by clouds »

Can anyone give me some info on this or is it a case of turn up, sign on and sail off?
It's only a couple of hours or less from me so I'm intending to make it a long w/e and bring the merlin out to play.

Turn up sign on sail off just about sums it up and dont forget to come back for a beer. Camping is available though a little bit tight for space. My reserved space for the camper is up for the highest bidder as Angis has asked for a proper bed and bathroom this year.

It will be great to see you and your boat.

ps forgot to say there is plenty of camping on the field above the club

Due to a busy summer and waiting the delights of the NHS there will be a big space at Clywedog as the Witt/McDermott Behemoth tent and associated annexes will be staying in Devon

We intend to be there & camping. I have been looking forward to it for months - I can only get to a few events each year due to other pressures but this is one of my favourites.

We'll have your space then Roger. I always like Clywedog, it's such a relaxed atmosphere.
If anyone wants a preview, I've got a DVD of the Waterworld episode from 2007 filmed at Clywedog - we get the last 5 minutes of the programme for about two days filming!

Hi;

we are still hoping to come - we are five, with trailer space (at the moment) for only one boat (the Skua). So if anyone wants to make plans to use crew... please let me know.

Were coming and camping. One of loads of good things about Clywedog is that the club allows visitors the full use of its facilities including an excellent galley. It will be good to meet you with your merlin and Nigel are you bringing the Hit or have you found yet another e-bay bargin?
Cheers Al

Hi Al,

it will be the Hit, hopefully with some slightly remodelled metalwork and some working cleats.

I plan to sail the entire weekend this time without the rudder pulling a big hole in the transom :)

I guess I shall have a small tent from Friday night, but as I finish work at 4.30, I will be fairly late up there. Is that a problem? If so, I may stop on the way.

We will be in residence from Weds so you can arrive any time.

I need to do a calculation of how many are likely to be coming so I can organise the catering.

We have found a great local lady who did us proud for the Welsh Miracle Open.
