I wish I had known - I'd have bombed down there for a look and some pics.
Michael (Briggs) - I would have thought that this was on your door step and right up your street!!!!!! Maybe it is time to get Blue Moon sorted and afloat, break out the stiff collars and go 'yotting'!
Looking at the age of the Albacore, this suggests that the Smokers would have been okay there (though in that part of the world am not so sure about the deep fixed rudder)

When I asked if I could go along a couple of years ago with the Jollyboat I was told no. Apparently it is an active racing class and not welcome to a classic dayboat event. I asked how come there was a Sharpie participating which is an active racing class and did not get the courtesy of a reply. A real shame as it is lovely club.

You can often get weird answers like that....
the clever thing is to not be offended and ask someone else the next year....
sooner or later someone will say yes.

Re: Bosham last Weekend
Hi Guys
Bosham have a policy of only allowing dayboats capable of being left on a mooring to take part in their Saturday racing. Sunday is for the "moderns" and the day offered to us would be Sunday, on pointing out that some of are moderns (merlins etc.) were years older than most of the day boats being sailed. I was informed that they were still dinghys and had to race on Sunday as they could not be left on a mooring.
Hope this clears this up.
Cheers Al

No it doesn't Alan! I've left my Finns on moorings many times, I've slept in two of them and sailed over 50 miles round the coast in a day with camping gear and a trolley inside. Does that make it a dayboat?

Well if Elvis isn't dead but working down the Chip Shop, I would swear Uffa's still just up the coast in Staunton Harold!PeterV wrote:No it doesn't Alan! Hi Peter
