Another date for your fixtures list. We are having the Old Boats Weekend at Nottingham on 21-22nd May, same format as this year so people can do either or both days.
Details a bit nearer the time, just wanted to get the date on the CVRDA calendar for now.

Due to a clash with the Avon Triangle, the BASC date will need to change. I'll let you have a new date as soon as I know it.

I now have a provisional fixture list for Hunts which does not yet contain a date for the Vintage Merlins, with whom we successfully combined last year. Since we now have both a new Club Secretary and a new Sailing Secretary Iam hoping this is an oversight!

The next Committee meeting is on Monday, and since I will still be airborne I can't attend. Would someone like the email of a Secretary type person to contact before then to get us onto the calendar? There are still other meetings also missing, but we should strike first to get more choice.

Let me know by pm or email asap.

I gather Hunts are hosting a Midlands open for the (moderrn) merlins instead of Banbury - don't know when - and there may be a start for vintage merlins at that.

It could be to do with the fact that the Banbury ST event is early in 2011!

I've been in email contact, and have asked for an event - they can fit us in, they hope. It may be a Sunday with club racing, or maybe more grand. Will let you know when I do!

the modern merlins aren't coming to us after all, so it looks likely we'll be combining with the vintage merlins.

Just had confirmation from Hunts.

Saturday 17th September and join in with club racing on the 18th.

Angie and I visited last year and found the club one of the most welcoming wehave ever been to. (with exception to Whitefriars, Clwedog, Thames, Roadford......etc )

I have amended the list on the previous page which seems to be where the fixture list currently lies.

Indeed, and I am looking forward to as many coming as possible. I'm organising the day, so I'll be plugging away at local clubs to get turnout from them too. I'm hoping to get the same race management team as last year, also, if there is an interest in on site camping on the Saturday night, do let me know.

yes, can yuou put a space aside for a camper van please? I'm not sure which boat we'll be sailing at Hunts, either a Merlin (if it is a shared Demay event) or else the NLC - new lost class...as that is where the cvrda action looks to be for next year!

All you have to do now is to get the Marauder fixed in time for September...

At tghe moment the event is not a shared Vintage Merlin event, though it should be. I need to get hold of either Mike here at hunts to sort this out, or someone from their CA to get it organised as a fixture for them too.
