Salcombe Festival - Vintage Dinghy Regatta

Just seen this on the Merlin forum:

2011 Salcombe Festival 10th – 12th June

New for this year will be a vintage dinghy regatta.
Starting on Friday this will be a 6 race regatta under the SYC and British Classic Yacht Club burgees.

Any dinghy built before 1970 is invited to race – and with the Merlin’s that cut off is 2279 and older according to my handbook. So far a certain Mr Howlett has indicated that he will be racing, so come on all you with ‘golden oldies’ ‘tis time to have a third bite at the Salcombe experience this year. It should be fun and tides at high neaps midday...........................

If anyone wants more information give me a call, I appreciate it clashes with the De May at Minima but the timing isn’t anything to do with SYC, honest!

Also clashes with the Finn Classic Nationals in Falmouth, which is a pity.

....and a big village wedding.....grrrrrr.....

maybe today isn't a good day to complain about wedding dates!
