I may need a crew Max but dont expect any nosedives. I may not be sailing all weekend as there is a fair bit of organisation to be done.

I'll drop the Heron CA class sec an email and see if we can get a local-ish boat to attend. I do know that Heron No 7 is still raced regularly.
Best wishes

Thanks that would be great Paul. I have sent all the classes information and have had response from the Herons. They may still be discussing it.

As chance would have it Roger I've just received the CA newsletter and there's a full page about Wraysbury in there so hopefully that will motivate someone from the South East to come along.
Best wishes

Paul we have had an entry request from Andy Dale with 9891.from what he writes she is a bit special being the first Epoxy stitch and glue.
Be nice to see her as its the first more modern boat we have had entered so far.

ps please to see the event has been published in the newsletter.

Anyone any contacts in the Miracles?

Hi Roger,

Yes Andy is the current national champion and a really nice chap to boot. I think he sails N12s a lot as well.
9891 is indeed the first of the epoxy stitch and glue Herons. She was build by Derek Dodds who has recently stepped down as CA Chairman after many years.
Best wishes

A friend of mine in the North East was a Miracle sailor and still has a few contacts, so I took the liberty of sending him the details of the Wraysbury event in the hope that he could pass them on.

Whilst the Miracle forum is a bit neglected these days there is an active class association with contact details on the website. http://miracledinghy.org/
