Rupert...to help you with numbers calculations....I am hoping to make it with Moth 2588 (or something that floats anyway!) for at least the Saturday, but it is complicated by Lynne's working hours/towcar availability....the mighty Micra now has towbar!! If I do make it (probably with Lynne) we won't need food as I am special diet, so tend to self-cater out of habit. Will have to drive home Saturday night anyway as Lynne has to work Sunday, but hoping I'll be back Sunday too.

Be great to see you, Solentgirl!

More information is now available about the event on the front page.

Please let me know here if you would like hot snack style lunches, cold sandwich style lunches and or soup, so I can let our cater know numbers.

Would meat/veggie pies go down well?

Count us out for food unfortunately......I can't eat anything with Gluten in it....and most snack type things have it in, trust me, .....so I will bring my own, and I won't know for sure whether Lynne will be with me until the last minute really unfortunately.
Made good progress on the Moth yesterday, not much to do now, although paint will only be patched for the moment......let's just hope for some decent weather!

Lois and I hope to come and stay in our campervan. But, (there's always a but..) Lois is off sailing. She's falling apart at the seams unfortunately, Just had a second eye op and now an injection to sort out a ligament or something in her thumb and mustn't use it for a while. So I hope to be there with Iska, Merlin 6. I may even have stopped her leaking by then... Iska that is, not Lois . So please put us down for any food that is going at any time. No diet problems.
And Can you ask around for a crew please? Or does anyone on the forum fancy a ride in the oldest Merlin in town?

OK, we now have a food plan, thanks to Steve James, our new catering manager!

His plan - Saturday lunch will be a ploughmans - a veritable feast by the sounds of it - much better than my efforts in the past, with a veggie option, of course.

Sunday, Steak & Kidney pie, mash and peas - the pie from a local butcher whom Steve says is excellent, and again a veggie equivalent.

You will need to sign up for food in the morning when entering for the coaching - it will all be on one sign on sheet - and the meal is included in the £10 per day fee.

Looks like it will be worth coming just for the lunch!

Extra meals for those not sailing will be £4, also booked at the time of entry in the morning.

Chris, if the Solo is not ready in time, and the way the weather seems to be going she won't be, I'd be happy to crew for you.

Right still planning on coming, both me and Dad however it seems we lack something to sail.
Can we borrow a boat like last year please?
